Castagnino´s image stands clear evidence: that of existence as a time passing by manifested in oppression. If human nature could be seen as a building, we could affirm the idea of something that supports and something that is supported as in the Parthenon. But the extremes recognize a rupture that coexists with on purpose with the fold.
The resource of the wall is here a text that plays with the phenomenon of our existential dichotomies. As it becomes limit, articulation or border, the wall is a symbol of enclosure, of something that contains and that is contained. From this perspective it could be understood as a packaging, parcel or wrapping of something essential. The wall is a founding resource. On one side enclosure on the other liberation, that which is hidden behind the apparent, senses in disagreement with reason. The material crossing of a homogeneous wall together with all its bricks and the naked and violent break of other dimension. As a result of this polarity man lives an existence of tough contrasts. He resists and exhales. Persists and quits. Founding concepts. If emptiness exists it is because we know what complete means, in the same way we experience oppression because we experience freedom.
Technically, a fold is a dark and opaque element, semantically a fold is a cut that can only crackle that which is dense in order to allow as to pry, to be able to bear the air that doubts the rules and that weaves the plot of the conflict with all its truths founded in thousands of lies.
The fold is a lit concept frequently located "behind". Who is looking and who is looked at? One and Another founded in the Same. As a result of this contrast man builds cavities as holes to get in but, and here lies the suspicion, he also builds windows as formulas to get out. Nevertheless there not always is suspicion and consequently the quest is not enough to escape.
